I was really surprised how much I enjoyed yoga after a 7-Day Yoga Challenge.

It took me a while to build a solid and consistent practice, but it's worth putting in the work. I'm still working on it.

My goal now is to try different types of yoga and try different yogis to expand my practice, knowledge as well as connect to other folks that love yoga.

I'm far from an expert, but I love practicing especially when I mix it in with my mindfulness practice where I tend to be much more experienced.

I completed my Kid's Yoga Teacher Training in January 2024 so I may be teaching in the near future as well.

I have a dear yoga friend/mentor/yogi who I thought was in their 60s. I was quite surprised finding them celebrating their 80th birthday. This was proof that practicing is good for the soul and that being active, stretching, and doing what you love keeps you young. She is a true inspiration.

Why'd I build this site?

To be able to find more yoga studios or classes at home and when traveling. I was inspired by a family member who finds yoga classes every where he goes and practices consistently.

Then I wondered… how he does this? How'd he find yoga classes every where he went. I struggled to find a big yoga focused directory, so I'm trying to build one. I want to make it easy for me to find classes and easy for you to find classes. I also love the idea of building a community and connecting with other fans of yoga.

I wrote an article on <b><a href="https://yoga-directory.com/find-the-best-local-yoga-class-for-your-needs/">How To Find a Local Yoga Class to Meet Your Needs</a></b> which might help with this. Since I am newer, I personally am starting in Fort Worth as it's my home town, but I want to make it easy for you to find classes you'll love and grow at. So I'll add studios as I find them or as they find this site and add themselves, or you add your favorite studio to share with others.

I wanted to make it easy for Studios and Teachers to fill their classes and find new yoga students.

If you are a yogi and run a yoga studio, offer yoga classes, or sell yoga products that help yoga students, this might be a site for you to get listed.

I hope that the more we add, the more value the site offers and that we will be able to add ways to engage with each other snd create deeper connections in our yoga practice. and in a thriving yoga community.
