Rishikesh Yogis Yogshala
Rishikesh Yogis Yogshala is a Yoga Alliance USA-certified yoga school established in 2014 by Uttam Ghosh in Rishikesh, India — the town on the banks of the Ganga internationally recognized as the Yoga Capital of the World. For over a decade, the school has been a trusted name for yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, training students from more than 20 countries in Hatha Yoga, Embodied Meditative Vinyasa, Kundalini Yoga, and Pranayama.
Uttam’s own path into yoga began in childhood, through the bhakti tradition he learned from his grandfather, and later deepened through formal study at Shree Ma Yoga International School and Ashtanga Yoga Mysore, culminating in an ERYT-500 certification from Yoga Alliance USA and initiation into the Kundalini Yoga path under Swami Vidyananda, who gave him the spiritual name “Rishi Raj.” That same philosophy — that yoga is a lifestyle, not a technique — shapes every course the school teaches today.
Rishikesh Yogis Yogshala offers Yoga Alliance certified 100-Hour, 200-Hour, 300-Hour, and 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training programs, an online 200-Hour YTT for students unable to travel, and residential yoga and meditation retreats of varying lengths. Students stay in clean, ashram-style accommodation with single or twin-sharing rooms, home-cooked vegetarian meals, and a peaceful setting a short walk from the river — designed for full immersion rather than a tourist-paced course.
